DBIA-WPR Quarterly Newsletter - Q1 2026

DBIA Western Pacific Region
Quarterly Newsletter — Q1 2026

Welcome to 2026 — A Year of Bold Ideas & Shared Purpose

Happy New Year, DBIA‑WPR community!

As your 2026 President, I’m proud to share our first Quarterly Newsletter, providing members, partners, and chapters with a clear and strategic overview of the work underway across our region.

Our Strategic Planning Summit this past December provided momentum and clarity for the year ahead. The discussions were candid, the ideas inspiring, and the consensus strong: 2026 is a year to elevate our impact, sharpen our messaging, and strengthen our support for Owners and practitioners across all sectors.

This quarterly update marks the start of a coordinated year-long effort to advance Design‑Build excellence throughout the Western Pacific Region.

2026 Mission & Focus Areas

Throughout Q1 and the year ahead, DBIA‑WPR is committed to three core priorities:

1. Expand Design‑Build Adoption Across All Sectors

We will champion DBIA Best Practices, support Owner education, improve RFQ/RFP alignment, and expand Progressive Design‑Build leadership across vertical, horizontal, water, and infrastructure markets.

2. Foster a Multi‑Sector Collaborative Community

We will broaden engagement across Owners, practitioners, advisors, trade partners, students, and young professionals, ensuring a stronger regional network.

3. Enhance Communication & Leverage Technology

We will modernize our communication tools, expand digital engagement, and elevate our educational programming through new delivery platforms.

A Special Thank You to Gloria Moore

This year, we acknowledge an important transition for our region.

Gloria Moore, who has served DBIA‑WPR with dedication for over 15 years, has accepted an expanded role with DBIA National as the Western U.S. Field Representative.

Her leadership, vision, and continuous support strengthened DBIA‑WPR and helped build one of the most engaged regions in the nation.

While we will miss her regular presence, we celebrate her expanded national influence and look forward to ongoing collaboration.

Thank you, Gloria, for your extraordinary contributions to DBIA‑WPR.

Board Vision: The Future of DBIA‑WPR

During the Strategic Planning Summit, our Board articulated a powerful, unified vision for where DBIA‑WPR is headed:

  • WPR will lead the nation in Progressive Design‑Build (PDB) and Best Value execution.
  • We will expand our influence across both public and private sectors, serving as a trusted resource for Owners.
  • DBIA‑WPR will help elevate RFQ/RFP structure and clarity, embedding true Best Practices across the region.
  • We will advance technology integration — from BIM and digital twins to modular and AI‑enabled workflows.
  • Collaboration across regions and with DBIA National will continue to strengthen our collective voice.
  • Owner education will remain a top priority, ensuring “PDB Done Right” becomes a regional standard.
  • WPR will continue to act as a national catalyst for Design‑Build innovation and leadership.

Our Vision Statement:

DBIA WPR is a regional thought leader and a national catalyst in advancing the Design‑Build industry.
