Description: DBIA-WPR Sacramento Chapter YP Event #2, 7TH ANNUAL JOBWALK AND MIXER.  Join DBIA Western Pacific Region Young Professionals for an inside look at the UC Davis Health California Tower, a landmark progressive design-build hospital expansion currently under construction in Sacramento. This approximately 908,000-square-foot, 14-story tower and 5-story pavilion will add 334 private patient rooms, advanced imaging and procedure suites, and two rooftop helipads, creating a next-generation, LEED Gold–targeted facility that supports comprehensive care for the region for the next 50 years.

During the job walk, attendees will explore how UC Davis Health, McCarthy, SmithGroup, Cambridge CM and trade partners are using a progressive design-build framework—multi-stage GMPs, Target Value Design, co-located “Big Room” collaboration, VR and full-scale mockups—to align scope, budget and schedule on a complex, $3.7B hospital program driven by 2030 seismic mandates.

A casual networking mixer will follow the job walk onsite, giving Young Professionals additional time to connect with project leaders, ask questions about progressive design-build in practice, and build relationships across the Northern California DBIA community.
