Projects In Progress - This category covers projects where the design-build teams have entered into a design-build contract, and collaboration with all project stakeholders is underway. Projects must not be complete as of March 31, 2012. All types and sizes of projects can be submitted under this category. (This category is exclusive to Western Pacific Region Awards Competition and does not exist in National’s competition.)

Last Year's DBIA WPR Annual Design-Build Awards Competition
Over 300 Design-Builders in the AEC Community attended the DBIA-WPR Award Ceremony on May 26, 2011 in Newport Beach.

The awards competition honored projects in our Regional area (California, Nevada, Hawaii and Arizona) that exemplified the principles of interdisciplinary teamwork, innovation, and problem solving that characterize design-build delivery.

2010 Design/Build Project Award Winners
Over 200 Design/Builders in the AEC community attended the 2010 Design/Build Awards program on May 27th. Fifteen teams from across the region were presented with their awards for exceptional design/build projects in a variety of categories. Three award levels were given out: Merit, Excellence and Regional. Speakers at the event were Jacob Williams, Assistant Director, Department of Public Works, Los Angeles County and Tom Hall, Director of Facilities Planning and Development with LACCD.

2010 Distinguished Leadership Award
For more than six years, Senator Dave Cox was a champion of design-build in the California State legislature having authored and passed several design-build bills. Senator Cox's career had a positive impact on the use of design-build delivery method in California and he was most worthy of this recognition by the DBIA. Senattor Dave Cox was nominated for the Leadership award by Robert Hartung of Alternative Delivery Solutions.
