Description: DBIA-WPR Water/Wastewater Committee Webinar, DELIVERING TRIPLE-BOTTOM-LINE SUCCESS THROUGH DESIGN-BUILD INNOVATION AND STERLING COLLABORATION.  Join DBIA-WPR Water/Wastewater Committee for a webinar. Project delivery is more than delivering on-time and in-budget. Progressive design-build allows the design-build team to continually improve the project through design and construction to meet the needs of the Owner. The Sterling Natural Resource Center was completed in 2024 and is an example how progressive design-build can meet the triple bottom line need of the Owner. This approach allowed the project to initiate early, meet the challenges of the pandemic and add value to the project with sustainability, economic and community benefits. This triple bottom line approach benefited from a collaborative approach that used the design-build best practices.

The Sterling Natural Resource Center is a new water recycling plant in San Bernardino County that delivers 8 million gallons per day. The water is used for indirect potable reuse and uses some of the latest treatment technology. East Valley Water District and the design-build team of Balfour Beatty and Arcadis will review the dynamic process of delivering the triple bottom line of the new treatment plant and pipelines.

Speakers:

  • Jeff Noelte - Director of Engineering and Operations, East Valley Water District
  • Thomas Murray - Area Operations Manager, Balfour Beatty
  • Peter Tymkiw - Senior Vice President, Arcadis U.S. Inc.
