With the Public sector using traditional design-bid-build approach for years as their project delivery method, the Department of Education decided to change direction and use design build for the Lanai High & Elementary Classroom Buildings project. In this presentation, hear first-hand pro’s and con’s in the procurement process of a Public Design Build project. With construction now under way, we will also hear of the collaborative effort that is being put forth with the integrated team to bring a successful project to the island of Lanai. This presentation will be geared toward owners, as well as designers and contractors.
