Description: Sacramento Chapter Luncheon Program, "Design-Build An Owner's Perspective," with speaker Mr. Joel Swift.
Mr. Swift is the Facilities Design and Construction Manager with UC Davis Health System. His presentation will target Design-Build from an Owner’s perspective, drawing on his past experience in two subsectors of public works (UC System and California Counties), and how he is applying that knowledge to the UCDMC projects. UCDMC has two upcoming Design-Build opportunities and he will explain how the UCDMC came to a decision to pursue Design-Build as a delivery method, and how Design-Build in a campus setting differs from a municipal/county setting.
